In line with the environmental philosophy of the Misawa Homes Group, Misawa Home Co., Ltd. conducts business in accordance with the following policies.
- Regularly review the performance of the company relative to its medium-term environmental goals and annual targets to improve the environmental management system on a continual basis by accurately assessing the environmental effects of our products, services and activities.
- Build safe, comfortable and pleasant residential environments while reducing the environmental burden in each stage of the housing lifecycle.
- Save energy and resources and reduce waste at offices.
- Abide by environmental laws and regulations applicable to our products, services and activities and also strictly observe our self-established green guidelines.
- Communicate to the public the company's commitment to sound environmental practices by strengthening green partnership with all relevant parties through collaborative environmental preservation and social contribution activities.
- Educate and train all employees in our environmental policies so that they can contribute to green activities from a social and global viewpoint in an effort to create a sustainable society.
Misawa Homes' environmental programs are incorporated into all aspects of the company's daily operations in all stages of the housing lifecycle from production, transportation, construction, occupancy and demolition to waste disposal. Management Strategy Committee decides on directions for all important green matters.
Our Matsumoto Factory received an ISO 14001 environmental management certification in 1997, the first in the industry, and today eight factories, one related company are certified as such. Additionally, we continuously strive to improve our business operations and complaint-handling processes through internal and external audit.
