It goes without saying we have to continue to work hard to increase customer satisfaction by delivering better quality homes to meet the changing needs of our society while reducing the impact on the environment.
since 2017, Misawa Homes undertook a review of priority CSR issues and, in 2018, reconfirmed the level of expectations that stakeholders’ place on these 23 issues and their evaluation. The questionnaire survey was conducted between October 2018 and January 2019. In the months leading up to the survey, a number of natural disasters hit Japan, including torrential rain in July 2018, the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake and Typhoon Mangkhut. The impact of these disasters heightened stakeholders’ expectations of our ability to address issue No.1 Develop ZEH,long-term quality housing and other low-carbon.recycling-oriented housing, No. 7—build safe, secure housing that is resistant to disasters and No. 11 Promote townplanning based on "Smart Wellness," "Smart City". and other concepts. Other issues earned about the same level of expectations as in the previous year. We will continue to confirm stakeholders’ expectations and selectively address priority CSR issues reviewed last year that have connections to the 17 SDGs adopted by the United Nations.
