Since its founding, Misawa Homes has energetically developed energy-conserving housing systems. In 1974, the company launched the pioneering Eco-Energy System Project and followed that in 1980 with the equally innovative Eco-Energy Plan. In 1998, the company brought to market the world’s first Eco-Energy home, the “HYBRID-Z.” We have also developed multifunctional “New Ceramic” material; the recyclable wood-based materials, “M-Wood” and “M-Wood2;” and durable housing systems with life expectancies of a century or more.
