The company has been implementing many measures to conserve energy at factories. At Okayama Factory, for example, back in fiscal 2006, we introduced power generating systems using both biomass combustion and solar power, enabling to generate enough electricity for office lighting requirements. Also, all of our factories cooperate closely with power companies to conserve energy.

Misawa Homes has established a transportation network in cooperation with suppliers across the country to reduce the overall distance traveled by vehicles. We constantly review regular transportation routes, control the number of vehicles used, and study more effective methods of loading and unloading to increase trip efficiency. The company has also restructured distribution bases to cut back on CO₂ emissions.
