Misawa Homes participates in the three subcommittees of the Environmental Committee organized by the Japan Federation of Housing Organizations. In fiscal 2012, we carried out many activities for these subcommittees by, among other things, providing up-to-date data and information on our environmental activities and preparing educational tools concerning sick-house measures.
Misawa Homes is also an active member of the quasi-governmental entity, the Symbiotic Promotion Council, and we also work closely with other trade associations to implement measures to provide better living environments.

In 1999, Misawa Homes issued an environmental activities report called “HEARTH,” the first in the industry. HEARTH is a compound word that derives its meaning from HEART and EARTH. We have been issuing the report every year since 1999 to inform the public about our environmental and other activities. From the fiscal 2006 report, we started to disclose questionnaire results given to us by readers of the previous report. We renamed the report “CSR Report” in fiscal 2008. To disclose our environmental and other activities to the general public, we have started to donate our CSR Report to many libraries. We will enhance our communications with our stakeholders and the general public. |
