Consistent with its motto, “Lifelong Commitment to Customers through Housing,” Misawa Homes has been leading the industry in introducing long-term warranty systems. We introduced a new-home basic warranty program in July that covers structural elements for 30 years, a 10-year extension of our previous program, while the government’s Housing Quality Assurance Law requires only a 10-year warranty. In connection with this, we also extended our basic water-leakage warranty by 5 years to 15 years and the warranty for equipment and electrical and water systems by 3 years to 5 years. The leakage warranty can be extended for another 15 years subject to certain requirements. These industry-leading warranty systems should contribute to the longer lives of homes and enhance their asset value.

The following systems apply to all new homes whose construction contracts were signed on and after July 1, 2010.

We provide a wide range of after-sales maintenance and support services to our homeowners. Our maintenance experts visit each of our customers for periodic checks at 6, 11, and 23 months, and again for periodic inspections at the 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th years, all free of charge. After 20 years, the company provides such services on a fee-for-service basis every five years until the 60th year.

Misawa Homes’ employees are all on alert, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in preparation for natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. Our technical staff in all disciplines can be mobilized to respond to such emergencies. The “Home Care Handbook” is distributed to every homeowner living in Misawa houses. We also operate the “Misawa Homeowners’ Club” to regularly update homeowners on our programs and latest news on the Website.
